Join local magic/music-maker Jennifer Holub with Dana Sipos for some post-trivia, get-ya-where-you-need-it, Tuesday evening folk music at the Townehouse tavern!
From the Townehouse Tavern Website: The return of the 10 piece Northern Memphis Revival… they played to a sold out crowd last Hallowe’en and are back by popular demand. Reviving the soul and funk centred around Memphis… the band plays Otis Redding, Solomon Burke, Aretha Franklin, Sam and Dave, Ike and Tina, Rufus Thomas, Staple Singers and so much more. The band has mined the exquisite catalogs of Stax records, Atlantic Records and more to bring a funky 3 hour dance party to life with a blaring horn section, a tight rhythm section that can pull off Booker T and the MG’s soul music like a walk in the park. The soaring vocals of the principal singers, Jennifer Holub, Anita Ansamaa, Nadia Costanza and Ryan Levecque bring to life the greatest soul music ever made. Gang vocals come from all over the stage when needed… horns and strings bring the music home and keep you dancing.

We are working on a musical idea for the creative aspect of this walk, but it’s not confirmed yet…Will let you know about that aspect, but please plan to come either way!! This trail also connects to the Freer Point Ski Trails, so this walk will orient you to possibilities for winter XC skiing and snowshoeing too! Veronika Bingaman, the creator of the trail, will be our trail guide.
No set fee, donations welcome.
